Your Journey Starts Here!!

". . . the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23)

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."  (John 3:16)

How do you become a "Christian" or "saved"?

It's as easy as A-B-C:

A - Admit you're a sinner.

There is no one perfect.  Some would try to make you believe they are perfect, but we know differently, don't we?  The Bible says it this way:
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."  (Romans 3:23)
There is a penalty for sin.  The penalty is death.
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."  (Romans 6:23)
That doesn't necessarily mean instant death.  If that were true, there would be an awful lot of dead bodies lying around, don't you think?  But, it is talking about spiritual death, also known as separation from God.

B - Believe in Jesus to forgive your sins.

God didn't leave us hopeless, with the penalty for sin.  He loves us so much that He made a way for that price to be paid for us.  Now, it becomes a free gift. In order for a gift to get to its recipient, it must be accepted.
"But God showed His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)
It was through Jesus!  Jesus died so that we would not be required to pay the penalty of eternal separation from God because of our sin.  We were still filthy, selfish children, wanting our own way!  And in spite of that, and while we were still in our sin, Christ died for us in the hopes we would receive the gift of reconciliation with God!

C - Confess your sins.

"That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:9-10)
"For whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved."  (Romans 10:13)
Anybody, anywhere can receive this perfect and precious gift!

Would you let him save you?  This is the most important decision you will ever make!  Why don't you give Him your heart right now?  Say a prayer similar to this:  "I am a sinner in need of you..  I believe that Jesus died for me on the cross.  I've hurt you, I've hurt myself, and I've hurt others.  I confess my sins and ask for your forgiveness.  I accept your free gift of salvation.  Be the Lord of my life.  In Jesus' name, Amen."

If you prayed that prayer, we would love to rejoice with you.  Won't you let us know? Use the "Contact" link on our website, or give us a call at the church.  Allow us to help you further in your new walk with Christ!
